Resolution: The image must be high resolution: 300 dpi. Most web graphics are 72 dpi. Don't use them. Printing will be terrible (pixel/mosaic effect).

File Type: Either non-compressed jpg (high quality) or tif will do.

Template: Here's an example. The white area is the visible part of the button. The grey area is the spin and the red area is a non-visible part (behind the button).

You have to fit the image in the white area. The grey and red areas are bleed areas, don't put something there but a non crucial part of the image or a background color. In this example we'll get a white button with a grey spine (the red zone won't appear).

Note: Don't put any text on the edge or it won't be readable... Leave at least a 2mm space.
